Sad news for fans of classic Japanese role-playing games: development of Armed Fantasia, which was positioned as a spiritual successor to the cult series Wild Arms, has been officially cancelled.
What is known about the cancellation
The Armed Fantasia project successfully completed a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign back in 2022. Key creators of the original Wild Arms were involved in the game's production, and the well-known label 505 Games later became its publisher. The game was also planned for release on Nintendo platforms.
According to an official announcement from Digital Bros (the parent company of 505 Games), the project's development has been permanently halted.
