The cult action shooter Earth Defense Force 5, which has gathered over 2 million players worldwide, has officially launched on Nintendo Switch 2. On the occasion of the long-awaited release, the developers have published an explosive launch trailer.
Defending Earth on new hardware
Players on Nintendo Switch 2 can experience the full scale of intense battles against giant hordes of aliens, wiping out countless waves of enemies in handheld or docked modes. Earth Defense Force 5 offers a completely refreshed setting and story, making it an ideal entry point for both newcomers and longtime fans of the franchise, which originated back in 2003.
Editions and sequel
In addition to the standard version, players can get the Deluxe Edition, which includes the full base game, bonus DLC weapons, and additional missions.
Great news has also been confirmed for fans: the direct sequel, Earth Defense Force 6, will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 this winter!
