Lobstudio Inc. has announced the unusual detective comedy Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year, which combines visual novel elements with a detective investigation. The game will be available on PC via Steam on November 22, 2026, and will later arrive on Nintendo Switch priced at $10.99.
A Zombie on the Beat of Justice
Players will take on the role of the unusual zombie detective Akemi Kabane. Together with the fearless Detective Zombie and her overly serious partner Yasu Tamura, she sets out to investigate an eerie incident involving a famous VTuber, as well as a supernatural danger threatening to freeze the entire village of Shimofuri in eternal cold.

According to studio head Tsuyoshi Manabe, the project is inspired by the iconic Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, and PARANORMASIGHT series, offering a vibrant visual style and engaging puzzles.
