Cult game designer Goichi Suda (Suda51) confirmed that Travis Touchdown will definitely return. Studio Grasshopper Manufacture, together with publisher Marvelous, is preparing something special for the 20th anniversary of the No More Heroes franchise, which will be celebrated next year.
Return of the Legendary Assassin
The No More Heroes series, which first debuted on the Nintendo Wii in 2007, became the hallmark of Suda51's unorthodox style. Following the release of No More Heroes III on Nintendo Switch, fans wondered what the future held for the series, and now the creator has dispelled all doubts.
According to Suda51, both companies are eager to “deliver something special” to dedicated fans in honor of the anniversary:
- Official plans for celebrating the 20th anniversary of No More Heroes are in development.
- Travis Touchdown will definitely return to players in a new project or re-release.
- The teams at Grasshopper Manufacture and Marvelous are actively collaborating on anniversary content.
It has not yet been disclosed whether this will be a full-fledged new installment for modern platforms, such as the Switch 2, or an anniversary collection, but fans of the franchise should definitely expect major announcements.
