The puzzle-stealth adventure Bunderkin: The Ocular Eclipse will officially launch on Nintendo Switch after successfully reaching its base funding goal on Kickstarter.
Heir to Cult Classics of the GameCube Era
The developers make no secret of their sources of inspiration: the game blends the visual style and atmosphere of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker with the tense ticking-clock mechanic from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Players step into the shoes of Beedee the Bunderdragon—a local outcast from the town of Bunder Hollow.
The protagonist attempts to sneak into a rare celestial eclipse celebration, only to stumble upon a sinister conspiracy: a mad villain plans to halt the movement of the moons and enslave the townsfolk using "Oculi" parasites.
Gameplay Features:
- Three-day time loop: each cycle reveals new opportunities to study the townsfolk's schedules, uncover hidden paths, and understand cause-and-effect relationships;
- Stealth and puzzles: explore a living world without direct confrontation, circumvent dangers, and utilize tools;
- Dynamic world: the town changes daily—from the festive hustle and bustle of day one to the mounting paranoia and chaos of day three;
- Rich arsenal: magical masks, upgradeable gear, numerous gadgets, and side quests.
The Kickstarter campaign is ongoing to reach additional stretch goals, but the Nintendo console version is already officially confirmed.
