SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding to Be Released on Switch 2 in Late October

The minimalist downhill skiing simulator SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding will be released on Switch 2 in late October 2026, featuring procedural mountain generation and support for three riding styles.

The developers of the minimalist downhill skiing simulator SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding have announced the game's release on Switch 2 in late October 2026. Players can look forward to endless procedurally generated mountain slopes, dynamic freeriding, and trick execution.

Snowy Adventure Features

The game was created by a small team of two Norwegian developers. Their goal was to convey the feeling of an authentic descent from snow-covered peaks in a minimalist and captivating format. The project is focused on short sessions, smooth controls, and continuous skill improvement.

  • Three riding styles: skis, snowboard, and sit-ski.
  • Procedural generation: endless unique mountains with the ability to share location seeds.
  • "Zen" Mode: relaxed descents without timers or score tracking—just you and nature.
  • Competitive element: global high score tables and friend leaderboards.
  • Multiple camera angles: first-person view, third-person view, drone mode, as well as a full photo mode.

Release Date Confusion

The latest trailer indicates a release date of October 29, 2026, while the eShop digital storefront page lists October 21. Either way, fans of winter extreme sports will be able to experience SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding on Switch 2 before the end of this month.
