Publisher Acclaim and California indie studio Valadria have presented a new gameplay trailer for the cozy retro power washing simulator Pixel Washer. The project is being developed for PC (Steam), as well as Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles.
Pixel Cleaning for a True Pro
At the center of the story is a cute piglet named Pigxel, who picks up a power washer and sets off to wash away layers of years-old dirt from the world. Players will have to tidy up various locations: from cluttered game rooms and museums to city streets and dirty food trucks, turning them into gleaming pixel masterpieces accompanied by a relaxing soundtrack.
Game Features
- Washing and restoration: wash dirt off sprites and restore locations to their pristine look.
- Wide arsenal: unlock new power washers with unique spray patterns for different types of dirt.
- Vehicles: earn money from jobs and buy new vehicles, including vans, taco trucks, and the special "Pig Mobile".
- Meditative atmosphere: calm gameplay and soothing sound design.
Initially, the release was planned for 2026, but the developers clarified the schedule: Pixel Washer is now scheduled for release on Switch and Switch 2 in 2027.
