Lord of Life and Death on the Battlefield
Blizzard has unveiled a gameplay trailer for the new support hero for Overwatch named Doctrine. The character emerges from the shadows, offering a unique set of abilities focused on manipulating the life force of both allies and opponents.
New Hero Abilities
- Eternal Scepter: a special scepter that allows healing allies and dealing damage to enemies.
- Shrouded Momentum: dodging enemy fire with the ability to move quickly.
- Invigorating Drones: support drones that increase attack speed and provide healing to teammates.
- Infuse: empowers the next used ability — for example, granting free flight for Shrouded Momentum or piercing damage for the Eternal Scepter attack.
- Deliverance (Ultimate): grants allies overhealth while simultaneously reducing enemies' maximum health pool.
Doctrine will appear in the game alongside the launch of Season 5 titled A Grim Doctrine on October 6, 2026.
