The release of the co-op adventure Orbitals for Nintendo Switch 2 is just around the corner. Ahead of the launch, a comparison of the game's graphics and performance between docked and handheld modes has surfaced.
What is known about the game?
Orbitals is an intergalactic co-op adventure for two players, styled in retro-anime aesthetics. Playing as Maki and Omura, players must join forces, overcome the deadly Storm Wall, and save their home world.
The project was created specifically for asymmetric co-op, which can be played in several ways:
- Locally on a single screen in split-screen mode;
- In local wireless mode;
- Online via the GameShare feature.
Editions and release date
In addition to the standard edition, players will have access to a Deluxe Edition with extra in-game content. A separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack is also planned for those who want to upgrade the standard version later.
Orbitals will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026.
