A New Look at the Return of the Legendary Samurai Action Game
Capcom has presented a spectacular new trailer for the game Onimusha: Way of the Sword titled "Carve Your Legacy". The new release will be the first full-fledged game in the iconic series in over 20 years.
The release of Onimusha: Way of the Sword is scheduled for September 4 for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. If you want to try out the combat system in advance, a free demo is already available on the Nintendo eShop digital store.
Editions and Pre-order Bonuses
Pre-orders are already open. Players who purchase the game before September 24 will receive special early purchase bonuses. Three versions will be available for purchase:
- Standard Edition: the base game on physical media and in digital format.
- Deluxe Edition: a digital version featuring additional cosmetic items and charms for the protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi.
- Premium Deluxe Edition: includes all Deluxe Edition bonuses, additional costumes for allies, and an in-game soundtrack.
The game's story is set in Edo-period Kyoto and blends real history with mysticism. Players in the role of Miyamoto Musashi will battle demonic hordes using the mystical Oni Gauntlet, the classic Issen mechanic, and soul absorption.
