The Return of the Cult HD-2D Classic on a New Platform
Square Enix has officially announced the release of both installments in the renowned role-playing series — Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II — on the Nintendo Switch 2. Both projects from Team Asano are already available for purchase in the digital store.
Features of the Switch 2 Versions
The Switch 2 re-releases received a number of technical improvements compared to the original releases for the first-generation Switch:
- Higher and more stable frame rate
- Improved image resolution
- Significantly faster location loading times
Please note: no free or paid upgrade path is provided for owners of the original Switch versions. Save data transfer between consoles is also unavailable.
Pricing and Bundle
Each game can be purchased separately for $60, but Square Enix has also prepared a special two-part bundle for $75, offering significant savings for those who have not yet had the chance to immerse themselves in the worlds of Orsterra and Solistia.
