Fans of classic 2D adventures in the style of The Legend of Zelda have a reason to celebrate. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign and a warm reception on PC, the oceanic puzzle game Isles of Sea and Sky is officially coming to Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2026.
An Ocean of Puzzles and Complete Freedom of Action
In Isles of Sea and Sky, you wake up on an unknown island with no memory of how you got there. Players must explore an archipelago of ancient islands, solve engaging block-pushing puzzles (in the Sokoban style), and uncover the secrets of a creation myth. The game's narrative is delivered entirely through visual imagery without any text.
The project's main feature is a fully open and non-linear world. If you find yourself stuck on a particular puzzle, you can leave at any time to explore another island and return later with a fresh perspective and new abilities.
