Nintendo continues to expand its global presence and enter new markets. The Japanese giant has officially announced its first-ever public event in India.
Switch Demonstration in Mumbai
The event will take place on September 5–6, 2026, at the R City Mall in Mumbai. Admission for all visitors will be completely free. Event guests will be able to test the Nintendo Switch console in person and play famous hits from the company:
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and other titles
Giveaways and Market Plans
In addition to gaming areas, themed souvenirs will be distributed to visitors, including sun visors, stickers, and Mario folders. However, purchasing the console or games directly on-site will not be possible — the Switch is still not officially launched in India, so devices will not be sold. Nonetheless, organizing such a demo zone clearly hints at preparations for the brand's full-fledged entry into the Indian market.
