Unexpected Soundtrack of Capcom's New Film Adaptation
The soundtrack of the new Street Fighter film adaptation from Capcom and Legendary turned out to be extremely eclectic. The events of the movie take place in the 1990s, so most musical compositions correspond to that era: among them are hits by Tupac ("Ambitionz Az A Ridah"), Soundgarden ("Black Hole Sun"), and Meredith Brooks ("Bitch").
Curious Musical Choices and a Strange Finale
The filmmakers were not afraid to go beyond the 1990s era. Specifically, during a battle featuring the boxer Balrog (played by 50 Cent), his famous track "Many Men (Wish Death)" plays.
However, the biggest surprise for viewers was the film's finale: director Kitao Sakurai ended the movie to the legendary hit by The Weather Girls — "It's Raining Men", which became the most unusual song choice for a fighting action film.
