Publisher Wired Productions and developer studio Glee-Cheese have released the first public demo of the unusual rhythm adventure MR. RECORDS on Steam. The project, previously announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, will also officially arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Music, Memories, and a Cozy Store
The story follows George, an elderly dreamer who decides to finally fulfill his lifelong dream — to open his own vinyl record store. The gameplay uniquely combines two worlds:
- By day: cozy shop management, chatting with visitors, and selecting the perfect records for their mood, which grows the business;
- By night: surreal rhythm platformer levels where each vinyl record immerses George in a whirlwind of memories, emotions, and unfulfilled dreams.
Scope and Genre Diversity
In the full version of the game, the developers promise over 40 handcrafted levels featuring a variety of musical genres — from funk and progressive rock to hip-hop, electronic, and 80s pop. In addition to classic rhythm gameplay, players can expect battles, dynamic chases, minigames, and activities with the faithful dog Buzz.
The game will be released on consoles, including Nintendo Switch 2, and players can already check out the beginning of George's story thanks to the free demo on Steam ahead of Steam Next Fest.
