Retro shooter Moros Protocol released on Switch 2

Publisher Super Rare Originals and studio Pixel Reign have released the sci-fi roguelike shooter Moros Protocol on Switch 2.

Publisher Super Rare Originals and studio Pixel Reign announced the release of the game Moros Protocol on the Switch 2 console. The project is a dynamic first-person sci-fi shooter featuring roguelite mechanics and a retro aesthetic.

Cosmic nightmare aboard The Orpheus

Players awaken on the abandoned military ship The Orpheus in deep space. With no memories and survival as the only instinct, you must fight your way through blood-soaked corridors where danger lurks at every step.

Key features of Moros Protocol

  • Tactical FPS gameplay: a combination of the classic fast pace of 90s shooters with weapon customization, augmentations, and the ability to kick enemies.
  • Roguelike elements: procedurally generated levels combined with handcrafted location design provide a unique experience on every run.
  • Unique retro visuals: low-poly graphics with pixelated textures and modern lighting that create an atmosphere of decay.
  • Drop-in co-op mode: the ability to play through the game side by side with a friend.

According to the developers from Pixel Reign, Moros Protocol was a dream project whose concept originated back in 2010, taking five years of active development. The game is inspired by masterpieces such as DOOM, System Shock, and The Binding of Isaac.
