Capcom has published a fresh gameplay overview of the massive expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. The new video showcases Boosted Actions in detail for each of the 14 available weapon types.
New Capabilities for the Hunters' Arsenal
The Ascendance expansion will continue the story of the base game Monster Hunter Wilds and significantly expand the combat system and available content:
- Boost Bracer: a new gadget that allows executing devastating attacks and significantly refreshes familiar combos.
- All 14 weapon types: each class has received new animations, boosted actions, and tactical options.
- Master Rank: the return of increased difficulty for experienced hunters with even more dangerous challenges.
- Eastlands: a completely new region inhabited by formidable elder dragons.
The release of Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2 is scheduled for December 4, 2026, while the Ascendance expansion itself is set to launch in 2027.
