Publisher Ziggurat Interactive has officially announced that the cult psychological horror classic Sanitarium Enhanced is in development for the Nintendo Switch console.
Return of a psychological horror masterpiece
The original Sanitarium game was released in 1998 and quickly gained cult status thanks to its eerie storyline, complex puzzles, and oppressive atmosphere. The story follows a man who wakes up in a mysterious psychiatric hospital after a car crash, having lost his memory.
Re-release features:
- Improved graphics and optimization for modern screens;
- Controls adapted for Nintendo Switch console controllers;
- Unchanged eerie atmosphere and intricate psychological narrative;
- Ability to play in both handheld and docked modes.
The publisher will announce the exact release date for Sanitarium Enhanced on Nintendo Switch at a later time.
