The legendary cult classic from the original PlayStation era returns in an updated form. The release of the atmospheric game KOWLOON’S GATE Suzaku has been announced for the hybrid Nintendo Switch console, set to take place on October 29, 2026.
What is KOWLOON'S GATE Suzaku?
The developers describe the project as the ultimate "walking game" that reimagines the world of the original 1997 classic Kowloon’s Gate. The project is a story prequel to the first installment and offers players the chance to:
- Wander through the labyrinth of alleys in the legendary Kowloon Walled City;
- Immerse themselves in the meditative and enigmatic atmosphere of the city of memories from angles never seen in the original;
- Search for exact locations from a found photo album;
- Restore lost memories using the "psychography" (thoughtography) mechanic;
- Meet familiar characters in enhanced graphical resolution.
KOWLOON’S GATE Suzaku invites fans of retro games and atmospheric quests to dive into the mysterious world of Kowloon themselves in late October.
