RS34 studio has officially announced the release of Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order for Nintendo Switch. The project's release in Japan is scheduled for January 2027. It is currently unknown whether the game will receive a Western localization, however, fans of the genre can already prepare for exciting gameplay.
This game is a full-fledged remake of the famous Nintendo 3DS title called Karous: The Beast of Re:Eden. The updated version for Switch will be available both digitally and physically. The developers promise to preserve the unique combination of classic shoot 'em up action with a progression system characteristic of role-playing games.
What's new in the remake and special edition
Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order will offer players not only improved graphics but also a number of innovations. Among them are the appearance of new characters, Luik and Teresa, as well as an entirely new world closely intertwined with other games from RS34 studio.
For the most dedicated fans, the developers have prepared a special collector's edition called Bird’s View Edition priced at 12,800 yen. It will include:
- A physical copy of the game for Nintendo Switch;
- An exclusive bonus CD soundtrack;
- A 36-page artbook with concept art;
- A set of four collectible postcards;
- An original acrylic stand figure.
