A Grim Adventure in a Semi-Open World is Coming to the New Console
Following a previous ESRB rating leak, the action-adventure Hell is Us has been officially announced for the next-generation console — the Nintendo Switch 2. The game will offer players a unique and uncompromising third-person semi-open world exploration experience.
The protagonist, a UN peacekeeper named Remi, travels to an isolated country gripped by civil war and a mysterious calamity. The lands have been overrun by supernatural chimeras against which modern firearms are powerless. Together with his drone and a sword from a bygone era, the hero will have to unravel the eerie secrets of the past.
Gameplay Features:
- No Hints: There is no minimap, compass, or quest markers in the game — navigation relies entirely on your own senses and the visual level design.
- Unique Combat System: An arsenal of swords, spears, and axes crafted specifically to fight otherworldly creatures, combined with the tactical use of a drone.
- Deep Story: A grim tale about the nature of human cruelty and the aftermath of a mysterious cataclysm.
New Release Date
The Switch 2 release was originally planned for September, but due to schedule adjustments and logistical issues, the game's launch has been moved to October 27, 2026.
