The organizers of gamescom have announced the full list of laureates for the prestigious gamescom awards 2026 exhibition. The coveted awards were presented across 19 different categories, recognizing the best trailers, technological achievements, and the most anticipated novelties in the gaming industry.
Success on Nintendo Switch 2 and Major Favorites
For future owners of the Nintendo Switch 2, the main highlight was the victory of Ubisoft's colorful project Rayman Legends Retold in the "Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game" category.
Among other studios, CD PROJEKT RED celebrated a true triumph: the announcement of the remaster and the Songs of the Past expansion for "The Witcher 3" brought the studio three statuettes. SEGA also picked up three awards for its strong gaming lineup, including Alien: Isolation 2 and Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000. Capcom took home two awards for the samurai action game Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
