Square Enix has officially announced Final Fantasy Resonance—the first game in the legendary series crafted in the signature HD-2D visual style. The new title is set to release on October 22, 2026, simultaneously on Nintendo Switch and the next-generation Switch 2 console.

Final Fantasy Resonance is designed to be a grand celebration of both classic and modern entries in the franchise. The game combines nostalgic aesthetics with a dynamic camera and pixelated 3D models, creating a dramatic cinematic effect.
