Technical details of the remaster for the new console
Koei Tecmo has shared technical details of the remastered game Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered for Switch 2 ahead of its release on October 1, 2026.
Built on the Unreal Engine 5, the project features updated graphics and an improved "1 vs 1,000" combat system. The official specifications for the Switch 2 version are as follows:
- Frame rate: variable from 30 to 60 fps;
- Docked resolution: 2560×1440 (1440p);
- Handheld resolution: 1920×1080 (using upscaling).
Potential graphics modes in the future
The developers also noted that they are considering adding a choice between quality and performance modes in future patches, but this toggle will not be available at launch.
