Free "People or Profit?" expansion for Discounty is now available!
Attention to all shop owners! The massive "People or Profit?" expansion for the game Discounty is now available for free download on all platforms. This update brings a multitude of exciting content and new gameplay features.
New chapter and additional endings
The expansion adds an entirely new story chapter that takes place immediately after the original ending of the game. Aunt Tellar finally hands over the management to you, allowing you to decide the fate of Discounty and the town of Blomkest. Your decisions in the branching final questline will lead to one of three new endings. In addition, you will meet three new eccentric characters: Gaspard, who dreams of a hydroponic farm; the city girl Angel, and a troubled teenager Casey.
New gameplay features
Besides the story expansion, the update introduces a number of gameplay innovations:
- Town rebuilding: engage in the reconstruction of Blomkest, restore the town to its former glory by renovating old shops and museums, or simply place Discounty billboards all over town.
- Store gadgets: find Jurgen's old workshop to create advanced gadgets, such as self-checkout counters or an online order fulfillment system.
- Product selection: you can now choose which products to sell yourself. Added 35 new items!
- Random events: unexpected situations in the store will force you to change your tactics on the fly.
- Buying a house: move from your aunt's old trailer into a spacious permanent home.
Along with these wonderful new additions, the update includes quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, making the game even more enjoyable.
