During a special Devstream broadcast in Seoul, studio Digital Extremes presented major fall updates for the popular free-to-play action game Warframe, available on multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch.
New Frame Narin and the Iceblade of Narin Update
On September 23, the major free update Iceblade of Narin will be released, adding the 66th Warframe to the game — Narin, master of ice and blade, along with signature weapons: the Nunchasa bow and Aksondol dual ice pistols.
Among the main features of the update:
- 6-Player Glacial Defiance Mode: a new format of team challenges on familiar maps with increased difficulty and special rewards in Melica's laboratory.
- New Relay Hub: the Narin’s Crest location on Yuvan Peak, revealing a hidden side of Earth.
- Citrine Prime Access: the Prime version of the crystalline Warframe with improved stats, the Steflos Prime shotgun, and the Corufell Prime scythe.
- Banshee Rework: updated abilities, a new premium skin, and a free Banshee frame for logging into the game between September 23 and October 7.
Global Event Epoch Operation: Taubound
Starting October 15, a massive in-game event will launch, designed to prepare the community for the next story chapter — Warframe: Tau. Players will be able to complete the new Prologue to Tau mini-quest, gather the new Moonflesh resource on Eris, and unlock unique rewards.
