Ghost Ship Publishing has clarified the console release dates for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. The game launches on PlayStation 5 on October 7 and on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9, 2026. We previously reported the wrong date — apologies for the mix-up.
The ports were announced at the Big Break Showcase. After our original story went live, the publisher's PR team reached out to confirm the dates:
- PlayStation 5 — October 7, 2026;
- Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 — October 9, 2026.
So Nintendo players have just over a week left before the dwarves of Hoxxes IV arrive. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is currently available on Steam, iOS, Android and Xbox.
The Knockout Expansion
Alongside the ports, the developers announced the paid Knockout expansion, which adds a new class, a new biome, a new mission type and a bundle of weapons:
- Brawler — a new class and the Company's first dwarf with a mohawk. He smashes rock and enemies with metal fists and brings his own combat abilities and melee gear.
- Sandblasted Corridors — a new biome with mineral-yielding sand twisters, underground stabba vines and exploding spore plants.
- Brood Harvest — a new high-risk mission featuring the Dreadnought Empress boss, an insectoid matriarch who spawns offspring to form a living shield between herself and the dwarves. Reach the Empress before her Brood reaches you.
"It's been just over a year since Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launched into 1.0, and it's incredible how the community seems to tackle even the toughest hazards. Expanding to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 has been a long time coming, and introducing more content has been an absolute blast!"
— Jacob Laurits Besenbacher Kjeldsen, producer at Funday Games
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a bullet-heaven spin-off (in the vein of Vampire Survivors) of Ghost Ship Games' co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic, developed by the Danish studio Funday Games, based in Aarhus.
