The developers have presented a story trailer for the first story expansion for the sci-fi horror game Cronos: The New Dawn. The expansion, titled Cronos: Lazarus, will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in the first quarter of 2027.
A Step into the Warden's Past
In Cronos: Lazarus, players will be able to learn the backstory of one of the original game's most prominent characters — the Warden. The plot will show his journey from a loyal agent of the Collective (Pathfinder) to a man who defied the system to save the lost Essence.
More Dynamic and Aggressive Gameplay
Unlike the measured and cautious style of the base game, the expansion offers faster and more brutal encounters:
- Elite Skills: using Pathfinder technologies, including creating enemy decoys and temporary invisibility.
- Deadly Hunter: confronting a new relentless adversary created specifically to destroy the protagonist.
- Large-scale Cinematic Battles: intense clashes that will require quick tactical decision-making.
The release of Cronos: Lazarus on Switch 2 is scheduled for early 2027.
