The developers of the unusual 2D horror game Tenebris Somnia have released a new trailer for the game, dedicated to its upcoming launch. The project will be released on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as early as October 16, 2026, in both digital and physical formats.
A combination of pixel art and cinema
Tenebris Somnia is a retro survival horror inspired by iconic series such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Players will have to solve chilling mysteries, explore sinister locations, and fight terrifying monsters in the style of 8-bit and 16-bit classic games.
The game's main highlight is its cinematic cutscenes. At key moments, the pixelated gameplay gives way to live-action scenes featuring real actors and practical special effects created by an Argentine film crew.
