Main announcements from the Minecraft LIVE presentation
The Minecraft LIVE broadcast has concluded, bringing fans of the blocky universe plenty of big news. Developers from Mojang discussed upcoming updates, a new dimension, the release of the Dungeons sequel, and a theme park.
Minecraft Dungeons II is coming out in just a few days
The long-awaited sequel titled Minecraft Dungeons II will become available as early as September 29, 2026. Players can expect a completely seamless, interconnected world instead of separate missions, jumping mechanics, new enemies from the Illager High Council, and an entirely new dimension.
New dimension — The Sift
For the first time in over 14 years, a new official dimension is arriving in the Minecraft universe — The Sift. In addition to Minecraft Dungeons II, this colorful, soul-filled world will appear in the original versions of Minecraft (Java & Bedrock) next year as the fourth official dimension alongside the Overworld, Nether, and The End.
Ice caves and a new mob in the next update
A new underground update was announced for the main game, introducing an ice caves biome. In it, players will find icicles, ice crystals, calcite blocks, and a dangerous ice zombie capable of slowing down the character and throwing snowballs with a freezing effect.
Minecraft World theme park
In 2027, the Minecraft World theme park will open in London (at the Chessington World of Adventures resort). Visitors can look forward to the world's first themed hotel with game-styled rooms and the thrilling Escape the Nether attraction.
