Two scaling modes for the new Call of Duty
Players who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for Switch 2 have already received early access to the story campaign ahead of the full release on October 23. Early users noticed an interesting feature in the graphics settings menu.
In the Switch 2 version of the game, players are offered a choice between two different image processing technologies:
- Nvidia DLSS — AI-based upscaling that utilizes the hardware capabilities of the console's new chip;
- Filmic SMAA T2X — a proprietary anti-aliasing and scaling method from Infinity Ward studio.
Users can manually choose the most balanced option between image clarity and a stable frame rate.
