Jazz, Style, and Endless Boss Battles
A new project has been announced for the Switch 2 console — Katuba's Poacher. It is a dynamic boss rush roguelite created by a solo developer that combines fast-paced gameplay, the aesthetic of classic hand-drawn animation, and rhythmic combat.
The game's main feature is its unique boss battles: each opponent has their own swing jazz soundtrack, and their attack patterns are precisely synchronized with the music. Players will have to catch the rhythm to dodge strikes and deliver retaliatory combos.
Key Game Features:
- Jazz Boss Encounters: High-voltage showdowns where the musical rhythm directly dictates enemy behavior.
- Hand-Drawn 2D Style: Vibrant, expressive handcrafted animation full of charisma.
- Dynamic Phases: Boss fights transform alongside shifts in musical themes and visual stages.
- Roguelite Elements: Unlock new abilities, craft deadly weapons, and set out on the hunt for new rewards.
The game is planned to be showcased at Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show, with a release on Switch 2 expected in the future.
