HAMSTER Co. has announced an addition to its retro lineup: the iconic arcade shooter XEVIOUS 3D/G will become available on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026, in digital format as part of the Arcade Archives 2 series.
Return of the Arcade Classic in 3D
The original game XEVIOUS 3D/G was released by NAMCO in 1996 and became a landmark reimagining of the famous XEVIOUS in 3D polygonal graphics. The player controls a combat starship, exploring 7 diverse zones—from a desert with geoglyphs to a space fortress—using an updated arsenal of weapons against new types of enemies.

Like all re-releases in the series from HAMSTER, the game retains the authentic gameplay of the original while gaining modern conveniences:
- Flexible difficulty and graphic filter settings;
- Rewind feature and rapid-fire functionality;
- Multiple quick save slots for saving progress;
- Global online leaderboards to compete with players from all over the world.
