Day-One Patch for Aggelos 2
The long-awaited sequel to the retro action-RPG Aggelos 2 is gearing up for release on Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2026. The developers announced that an important day-one update will be waiting for players right away, fixing several technical issues and optimizing the game for a smooth experience.
List of Changes and Fixes:
- Fixed issues with invisible collisions and missing object boundaries.
- Fixed a bug where playtime was displayed from a previous save file when starting a new game.
- Fixed an issue where a shield was carried over from another save slot into a new game.
- Max-level Wings Star Power abilities no longer trigger incorrectly near totems.
- Removed the continuous flashing effect after defeating the dragon boss.
- Fixed incorrect display of background textures at the edges of the screen in certain locations.
- Added missing apostrophes in dialogue.
- Fixed the protagonist's animation freezing after attacks from swimming enemies in the underwater abyss.
- Fixed an issue with selecting the leftmost totem during teleportation.
- Fixed textures in instructions for the Amulet of Fire and Bubble.
- Added a warning when accidentally quitting to the main menu after character death.
- (Nintendo Switch) Optimized performance and eliminated minor frame drops in busy scenes.
Aggelos 2 features a 16-bit retro aesthetic in the metroidvania genre, where players must switch between two worlds—Light and Darkness—while mastering the unique abilities of the hero's two forms.
